Meet the Team

Ray Kluglein , General Manager
Ray Kluglein ImageRay has been the General Manager at Dean College for 3 years. Previously, Ray worked for Sodexo for 20 years in various positions within the organization. His most recent position was at Mystic Seaport Museum of the Sea in Mystic, CT, as the General Manager. Most of you may know of the famous Seaman's Inn Restaurant and Banquet Facilities as the land mark restaurant at Mystic Seaport Museum . Ray graduated from Johnson and Wales College with a A.S. in Culinary Arts and a B.S. in Food Service Management and with his love for food, he became a Chef Instructor at Johnson and Wales College in the 1980's. Ray resides in Cranston , Rhode Island with his wife and two young daughters.

Dave Covell, Operations Manager
Dave Covell ImageDave joined the Dean team in August 2003 as our Production Manager. Dave has been in the food industry for over twenty years and has worked for Sodexho since 1996. Dave grew up in Franklin and has worked in many area establishments. Dave is a member of the Sodexho Chef Association and has participated in several food competitions. He currently resides in Plainville, MA with his wife and three children.

Christine Monahan, Catering Manger

Christine just started with Sodexo as the Catering Retail Manager this past summer here at Dean College. She had previous Campus Services backround at Lesley University and the Art Institute of Boston with Bon Appetit She also worked for private catering services companies like Rita's Catering in Everett, Massachusetts.

Executive Chef, Shane CaledoniaShane Caledonia Image
Shane Caledonia, comes to us from Sodexo with eight years of service. He was recently the Executive Chef at Olin College in Needham MA, where he exhibited exceptional culinary skills to the students, staff and clients. He was a General Manager at Moses Brown High School and also spent time as the Executive Chef at Salve Regina University. He spent many years working in the restaurant industry and started his career working in his father's family restaurant. Shane lives in Sicuite, RI with his wife and two children.

Donna Hobson , Resident Dining Manger

Donna has been with Sodexo for over 10 years firststarting with our Corporate Services Division as a Chef Manager, and then transferring to Wellesley College in Wellesley, Massachusetts as a ResidentDining Manager for the past two years before starting here at Dean College this fall semester as the Resident Dining Manager. Donna enjoys spending time on her farm in Fairhaven Massachusetts with her animals.

Jetta Panagopolous, Office Manger

Jetta has been with us here at Dean for over eight years, she started working as a part of our Dining Room Staff with her friendly fun loving nature. This gave her the opportunity to become our Office Manager. For the past three years she assists students with meal plans, Boomers Bucks and commuter meal plans. She previously worked at Wheaton College in Massachusetts. She resides with her family in Attleboro Massachusetts

In addition, you can be involved in the decision making process about new meal programs and ways to improve your food service program. We value your input!
